Sensory Pauses
Small Invitations to Notice
Sensory Pauses are brief invitations to stop and notice something that might otherwise pass by—a sound, a movement, a texture, a change in light, a small event in the natural world.
They aren't exercises with a particular outcome in mind. There is nothing you are supposed to feel or discover. They simply create a small interruption in the usual flow of attention: an occasion to notice.
Some are visual. Some are auditory. Some last only a few seconds.
